We all know that Google is working on a couple of new nexus devices that will be launched later this year alongside Android N, these two devices will succeed the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P. Not long ago the rumor mill indicated that Google might have chosen HTC for the manufacturing of this years nexus (even for the next two years) and today we have another leak suggesting the same.

Evan Blass and Android Police independently came out with details about the new Nexus handsets. Evan Blass revealed that HTC is working on a couple of handsets for Google, that run on Android N and are code-named as M1 and S1. Following up on this the Android Police revealed that Marlin and Sailfish are the internal code-names that Google is going with for the coming nexus devices. The good folks over at AndroidPolice even dug through the Android’s available source codes and found the name Marlin in it, however Sailfish wasn’t yet discovered. It is very easy to assume that both the sources are talking about the same set of devices, as the code-names Marlin and Sailfish perfectly align with M1 and S1.
Keep in mind that at this point this is all unofficial, but knowing the sources it might the best leak we have seen in a while and is more likely to turn out to be a reality. Stay tuned for more.
